Ok...I seem to be on a crusade for something lately, mainly because I hate injustice. If there is a cause I believe in, I will crusade for it until I have done everything in my power to get the word out. Like taking the words"under God" out of the Pledge of Allegience. USA Today is taking votes on trying to keep this from happening. Please vote....every vote counts...If you believe that the Pledge Of Allegiance should remain unchanged, please click on the American flag and cast your vote...It just takes a second and your vote could be the deciding vote.
Breast Cancer and the right for women to be able to stay in the hospital after masectomy surgery for more then overnight. How cruel and inhumane that is. Going through the trama of finding out you have breast cancer is frighteniung enough, but to lose a breast or breasts and then be sent home without proper rest and counceling is just plain cruel. Please take a few seconds out to sign this petition to make it mandatory for women to be kept at least two to three days in the hospital to recooperate from this very serious and tramatic surgery.
The exploitation of women and children on the internet. This is a very BIG issue with me. And not just the women, but men are exploited too, I realize that, but the instances are very few compared to women being used and exploited by men and the very worse, of course, is the exploitation and abuse of children online. I wish I had the power to stop this, but I am just one tiny Gypsy Woman, but if I can help just one woman, or save one child, then I have done something. Women, you're on your own, you're an adult, just be very careful about personal information you give out. A child is a different story...Parents, monitor your children's activities while they are online. Know who they are talking to and make sure they never give out any personal information about themselves. Many Paedophiles pose as teen agers to get information from them....Beware of this and make your children aware of this. |
